External Painting of a Unique Property in Rye…

The property is a rare example of 19th-century Swiss Cottage style, with a touch of Carpenter Gothic influence.

Heritage Decorating had the pleasure of painting this incredibly unique house – being the only one of it’s kind in Rye, East Sussex. 

The property is a rare example of a 19th-Century Swiss Cottage style building with a touch of Carpenter Gothic influence. This can be seen in the ornate scalloped bargeboards, the gable finial and the tall, arched windows which give it such distinct character.

History and charm restored with a fresh coat of paint

It was a real privilege to work on something with so much history and charm, and to help bring the details back to life with a fresh coat of paint. You can see from the images there was a lot of making good that we had to do. Areas of rot needed a lot of attention  and we had to replace parts of the finials. Thankfully, this is where we come into our own!
